Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

Nuremberg Metropolitan Region Since 2005, 23 administrative districts and eleven independent cities have been working together in partnership in a project, called Nuremberg Metropolitan Region. Together, the participants are meeting various challenges that arise from growing together beyond the borders of Germany. This alliance opens up new opportunities for companies, for science, but also for business and tourism. A joint appearance as a European Metropolitan Region increases the visibility of the region in the globalized world. Because the number of member municipalities is very large, all participants work together in an organized and structured way to achieve the best for the entire region. Erlangen as a student and technology location is located in the heart of the region and enriches the metropolitan region.
